Game of Thrones star Nathalie Emmanuel – Nathalie Emmanuel, who starred in Game of Thrones, has been cast in the lead role of the upcoming action picture The Killer, a remake of the same-titled 1989 John Woo film.
Although their specific roles are currently unknown, the actress will co-star with previously revealed cast member Omar Sy, according to Deadline.
In Woo’s original movie, an assassin accepts one final assignment to raise money for surgery to restore the sight of a nightclub singer after he mistakenly blinds her.
While the narrative of the remake is yet unknown, director John Woo will return to helm it from a screenplay written by Matthew Stuecken, Josh Campbell of 10 Cloverfield Lane, Eran Creevy, and Brian Helgeland.
According to reports, the film will be one of three Universal originals that Peacock will debut this year.
Emmanuel, well known for her role as Missandei on Game of Thrones, will next be seen in Francis Ford Coppola’s upcoming science fiction epic Megalopolis. In this movie, an architect tries to reconstruct New York City as a utopian community after a catastrophe decimates it.
Zendaya, Adam Driver, Shia LaBeouf, Dustin Hoffman, Forest Whitaker, Aubrey Plaza, Jon Voight, and Laurence Fishburne are all part of the impressive cast.
In Fast X, which will be released this May, Emmanuel will reprise her role as Ramsey, and she has hinted that the stakes will be higher than ever.
She stated to ComicBook.com last year, “Just the overall stakes are bigger on a more personal level in this one.
“Can travelling to space be topped? I don’t know why, but I feel like in this movie the risks to this family are simply so much bigger and so much more serious. I’ll stop there since I don’t want to cause any trouble.”
