Tech Moves to Texas – Denise Walter, a Seattle-area tech executive, has been named chief revenue officer at cybersecurity firm Darktrace.
Walter will join the company from VMware, where she most recently served as vice president of sales. She has also held executive positions at Cisco, Openwave Systems, Sybase Software, and Netscape Communications.
— WatchGuard Technologies, based in Seattle, has appointed Simon Yeo as senior vice president of operations. Yeo previously served as Barracuda Networks’ chief information officer and held executive positions at Upwork, Tout.com, Meebo, and LoudCloud.
— Deepthi Madhava has joined Oregon Venture Fund as a partner. Madhava joined OVF as an investor in 2020 and as an investor-in-residence in January 2022. She previously worked for Deloitte for over 11 years, where she assisted with due diligence for private equity clients. [Tech Moves to Texas]
— Bryce Hein has been named chief marketing officer of Sysdig, a computer and network security company based in San Francisco. Hein previously worked for Seattle security firm ExtraHop for nearly six years, most recently as chief marketing officer. In August, he left ExtraHop.
— According to Bloomberg, Joseph Staten, partner and creative director at 343 Industries, will leave to rejoin Xbox Publishing. Staten was previously senior creative director at Microsoft for nearly seven years.
— Beverly Jackson has joined Zillow as vice president of brand and product marketing, having previously worked at Twitter as vice president of global brand and consumer marketing.
— Sue Iverson, chief people officer at Likewise, has announced her intention to retire from the Bellevue, Wash.-based startup that optimises online streaming, reading, and podcast experiences.
Alicia Boler Davis, CEO of Alto Pharmacy, will join the board of directors of JP Morgan Chase. Boler Davis has previously held executive positions at Amazon and General Motors, and she currently serves on the board of General Mills.
— Georgia Perez, formerly executive vice president of strategic growth and emerging markets at MoxiWorks, has been named chief growth officer of MoveEasy, a homeowner concierge platform based in Columbus, Ohio.

Mitz Banarjee has joined Xplore, a space services company, as an investor and advisor. Banarjee previously worked as an executive at Workiva.
